We The Future: An Equitable Future for All
October 8-14, 2018 | City Hall Plaza, Boston

HUBweek is an innovation festival at the intersections of art, science and technology. The arts programming at HUBweek is designed to create exciting and new experiences for diverse audiences. Whether they are walking through a shipping container, listening to music, watching a performance or dancing in the silent disco inside of a geodesic dome, it is meant to be a memorable and unique experience.
As part of the curatorial process for HUBweek 2018 exhibitions and live and performing arts programs I deployed a hybrid strategy that combines invitations, collaborations with community experts, and public calls for engagement to select artists to be invited to participate. The “call for Live Art” was juried by Leonie Bradbury in collaboration with community partners with expertise in performing arts. They included Berklee School of Music, the Boston Center for the Arts, and The Boston Foundation among others.
We hosted: 4 Silent discos, 13 Live immersive artists, 14 Djs, 17 Poets/Spoken word artists, 39 Dancers, 66 Musicians, for a total of 46 hours of live performances. 55,000 attendees.
